Host the installation

Bring Requiem For Protest to your venue.

We're inviting venues, groups and organisers to host Requiem For Protest — the 30-minute reworking of the short film series — for their own community. You can show it two ways, and we'll support you through the whole thing: the film itself, printed materials for the room, and artwork to promote your showing.

There's no fee to show the work. We ask hosts only to help towards the cost of the printed materials — more on that below.

Two ways to show it

Continuous

Looping installation

The piece plays on a loop in a darkened room across your opening hours, and visitors dip in and out. Best where people come and go — a gallery, a foyer, a day of events.

One showing

Single screening

One showing of the whole piece to a seated audience, with time to talk together afterwards. Best for a scheduled event with a gathered crowd.

Not sure which suits your venue? Say so when you get in touch below and we'll help you decide.

What we provide

The printed materials

Every showing comes with a set of printed materials for the room — so you can see exactly what you'd be putting out:

  • 2 × A3 posters on foam board to stand at the entrance — the story of how Requiem For Protest came about, and the dedication to Eel.
  • A5 flyers to take away — Requiem For Protest, The Line We Crossed, Defend Our Juries and Nowhere To Go.
The printed materials set out at a showing: two A3 foam-board posters standing at the back, with stacks of A5 flyers laid out on the table to take away.

How it works

Three simple steps

We take it one stage at a time, so nothing runs ahead of itself and you always know what's next.

  1. Step 1 — Tell us your plans

Let us know your dates and rough numbers

Use the form below to tell us how you'd like to show it, when, and roughly how many people you expect. That's all we need to get started.

  2. Step 2 — Sort the printed materials

We tailor a print offer, you order

The printed materials — the posters for the room and the take-away flyers — add a great deal to a showing, giving people the story behind the work and something to carry away. With your numbers in hand, we'll suggest what would suit. Where they can, we ask hosts to help towards the print costs, and we'll work out together what's manageable.

  3. Step 3 — Promote & signpost

    Create your digital assets

Once the print side is settled, we open up the rest of your host area: personalised poster and social artwork to promote your showing, plus simple signs you can print yourself for the doors on the day.

Step 1 — Get in touch

Start hosting

Tell us a little about your plans and we'll come back to you with the next steps — a tailored offer for the printed materials, and access to your own host area.
